Himalayan Goji Juice - A Great Source of Glyconutrients
« on: January 20, 2007, 09:54:44 AM »

Himalayan Goji Juice is a new health product that is manufactured and produced by FreeLife International.  Freelife has partnered with Dr. Earl Mindell, author of The Vitamin Bible.  This juice is considered the most nutritionally dense food currently know to man and it's very easy to take as it is a juice and easily digested by the body.

The goji berry orginates from Asia and has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for over 3000 years.  Just recently has the western world put this berry under the microsocpe to uncover it's healing and healthy aging qualities.  The discover has been a break through in health as the article from the Breakthrough In Health magazine explains below.

Scientists determined the structural composition of goji's polysaccharides to be unique, peptide-bound acidic heteropolysaccharides of a type never before encountered in any of the world's tens of thousands of botanical species.
Four primary bioactive polysaccharides were discoverd in Lycium barbarum.  The scientists simply named them Lycium barbarum polysaccharides (abbreviated as LBP).  Following the same logic, these four main polysaccharides were named LBP1, LBP2, LBP3, and LBP4.
LBP polysaccharides proved to be glycoconjugated, meaning that they are exceptional sources of the essential cell sugars - rhamnose, xylose, glucose, mannose, arabinose and galactose - that are necessary for proper immune function and intercellular communication.  In fact, goji may be the richest sources of glyconutrients* yet found.
Research strongly suggests that goji's unique polysaccharides work in the body by serving as directors and carriers of the instructions that cells use to communicate with each other.  In this way, it can be said that goji's LBP polysaccharides are "master molecules" by virtur of their ability to command and control many of the body's most important biochemical defense system.

*four of the last eight Nobel Prizes for medicine have been awarded for work in glycobiology and cellular communication and their importance to wellness
