Glyc-onutrients are useful in cases of brain injury because they can help the body's cells grow the materials needed to relay messages from a damaged location (such as the brain) to the areas of the body that poduce stem cells. Stem cells are like blank or generic cells that can be made into any type of cell that the body might need (such as brain cells).

The good news is that in cases where the person had damaged or missing brain cells, they recovered to about 95% of their original mental function.

The bad news is that the recovery is a very slow process, usually six months to a year for a full recovery(depending on how much of the brain is missing).

What about someone who've had epilepsy for about thirty years presumably as an aftereffect of injury from a crash? He stopped taking drugs because of serious contra-effects (hope that's the word). Average of three epilepctical attacks once every week or two weeks. Just wondering (and hoping). Huh

Hello, have just logged onto this site, and saw your reply which is of interest to me and was wondering if you know of any case studies that back up what you say, I have read about Dr Alex Omelchuk and others in cases of tumours etc but not sure if you have come across anything for an ABI due to lack of oxygen.

My 6 year old son suffered a hear attack in June this year due to undiagnosed cardiomyopathy, and as a result suffered a 'Global Hypoxic Ischaemic' (not sure on spelling) brain injury, and is now undergoing rehab. He has been on Glyconutrients for a month now and I am waiting to see if we gain any benefits. Any information or advice would be much appreciated.
