Glyconutrients and cancer
« on: December 13, 2006, 04:59:02 PM »

My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic transitional cell bladder cancer in mid Oct of this year.  Mets was to the lymphatic system with multiple large lymph node masses in the chest wall and mediastinum.  The urologist told us that he was terminal and any treatment that was to be done would be strictly palliative.  We started glyconutrients on October 25th in large amounts along with an organic diet with little to no processed sugar.  Dad started his 2nd round of palliative chemo last Friday.  I must say that his lab work looks better (for the most part) than it did before we started the first round of chemo.  His breathing does not seem to be as labored as it was before the onset of treatment.  He has had minimal nausea and only a small amount of diarrhea.  The first round of chemo did do a job on the wbc's.  Started at 11, dropped down to 5, but recovered in 3 weeks to 15.  Docs thought he may have an infection....but he has had no symptoms of infection (other than a wbc count of 15).  His hair is also turning dark.  It is also interesting to note that he has had no hair loss to this point.  He had dark scaley skin patches on his face and hands before starting the glycos.  These patches are now peeling off and his skin is clearing.  I'll try to keep posting as time goes on.  Feel free to e-mail if you have any questions.
